Cartoon 69 Review
On the first tour page for Cartoon69.com they claim to be the number one rated cartoon site on the net. That’s a pretty bold claim, and I wonder what statistics they’re using to back it up, but I give them credit for being brave with their self promotion. They also claim 120,000 hardcore pics, 110,000 explicit videos, and hardcore comics. Before even entering the member’s area to check things out I’m very skeptical. The pitch seems an awful lot like the standard mega site pitch that sounds good and ends up being full of lies and half truths once you see the member’s area. Typically, the numbers they give out for pictures and videos refer to all the content within the mega site network and have no correlation to the actual cartoon content. This is just the kind of site reviews are for.
Carrying my skepticism like a badge of honor I enter my username and password and the member’s area is loaded. The landing page is not encouraging. The only things I see here are links to the 27 bonus sites that are included in my membership, none of which are cartoon sites. I click on the link in the left hand column that says videos and hope for the best. What I see raises my spirits.
Cartoon69.com doesn’t actually produce its own content; instead they co-opt other people’s content, in the form of video and picture feeds. Basically they’ve paid another company for the right to use their content and passed it off to the members under the guise of original content, at least in the tour. However, it’s not all bad news because the videos section features 11 of those content feeds. The problem is that all of the feeds, with the exception of one, are actually just naughty flash games. You can tell an animated flash girl how to suck a cock, or slap her ass, or make a cock cum on her face. I can see where the appeal is, but I can’t see how it’s erotic in any way.
There is however one site that features actual anime movies called Hentai Empire. They have more than 125 hentai movies and they’re actually downloadable, which is pretty rare for a site of this nature. The movies can be downloaded in 15 second clips that are 2mb each, which is absurd, or you can download the entire thing, which will generally be 200mb. I watched a few of the movies myself and they’re just as filthy as any porn movie you’ve ever seen, so even if you’re not into anime it’s probably worth checking out.
In addition to the video feeds there are a bunch of picture feeds, although there are nowhere near the 120,000 images as claimed in the tour. Cartoon69.com is very much like I suspected it would be when I first saw the tour. However, I was expecting that they wouldn’t provide any content at all outside of a few worthless feeds. Instead you’ve got access to a fair number of hentai videos, lots of flash sex games, and a fair number of pictures. Also, you do get full membership to those 27 reality sites I mentioned, which is no small thing.
